This a training aquathon with a 400m pool swim and a 5k, multi-terrain run. The trail sections have mostly good surfaces so road running shoes are fine.
The exit to start the run will be via the fire exit in the corner of the building where the baby pool is. We will set up a very basic transition area here, you will leave your trainers and any other requirements by the exit and change as you leave the building.
From there the run will go straight up to the AstroTurf football pitches and then left along the side of the pitches then through the zig-zag and turn right up the gravel track then run down through the new estate on Flaxfield Ave and then turn right onto Brushes Road.
You will follow this all the way around to Walkerwood Resevoir, across the dam then turn right and keep going until you come to the gate across the road, this is the turning point at which point you will retrace your route. The finish point will be back at the fire exit.
The route will be sign posted and there will be marshals on the course.
As stated in the Terms please be aware of traffic it should be light but the car park and the road up and around Walkerwood reservoir is open to traffic.
